This is an important message from your health plan, Alameda Alliance for Health.
It’s flu season again and the yearly flu shot is the first and most important step in protecting you and your family from getting sick.
Alliance members age 19 years and older may now go to their local pharmacy to receive their yearly flu shot at no charge. Just bring your Alameda Alliance card to the pharmacy. Members younger than 19 years need to get their flu shot from their doctor.
This year, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) says the nasal flu vaccine (also known as FluMist®) should NOT be used. For more information, please visit the CDC website at www.cdc.gov or talk to your local pharmacist or provider.
Alliance Member Services is here to help. We can help you find a local pharmacy!
Please call the Alliance at 1-877-932-2738. Hearing impaired callers, please dial TTY 711.
Get vaccinated now to protect yourself and your loved ones!
