Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM)
The Alliance partners with MedImpact, Inc., a PBM. Members may contact MedImpact's customer service line about their prescriptions at 1-800-788-2949 (open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Alliance Working for Antibiotic Resistance Education (AWARE)
The purpose AWARE, a project of the California Medical Association Foundation, is to reduce the unnecessary use of antibiotics and reduce the prevalence of antibiotic resistant bacteria in California. The project has developed a wide array of tools for medical providers and patient information pieces. Alameda Alliance for Health has partnered in an AWARE project to improve antibiotic use in Alameda County.

Formulary Review
The Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee meets quarterly to review the formulary, drug utilization patterns, and establish guidelines, protocols, programs, and procedures that help ensure high quality, cost-effective drug therapy. Formulary changes are updated quarterly and posted on this Website. Providers can submit a Formulary Review Request Form (see below) to recommend consideration for review of a drug.
