How is diabetes managed?
Taking care of diabetes has three parts:
- Healthy eating
- An active body
- Medication (if needed)
We help members manage their diabetes. A person with diabetes should check their blood sugar, eat well and use their medications. When diabetes is controlled, a person can live a long and active life. The Alliance offers free classes and written pamphlets. Call 510-747-4577 to learn more.
